| Matt Shaw mentions the fact that McCarthy is part of the development set-up at Souths now, so that explains the connection. It'd be nice to think there might be a way back for him here if he does well down there.

| If Doolan does well at Souths, I can`t see him returning here any time soon.
The Salary Cap in the NRL allows clubs to pay their players wages that Super League clubs can`t compete with.
If he doesn`t progress, then of course he will return and probably get a contract with a team here.
