I think this as a great idea, hope the trial goes well.

The least it would do is sharpen up refing, they're not going to want to look fools.

I don't think overturning a decision would make a ref's decision look foolish. It happens in cricket and sometimes even the reversal is wrong.
Yesterday one of the South Africans was given out caught behind of his glove. The appeal gave him out, however it should not have done as his hand was not on the bat at the time.
Whilst I accept this is a radical suggestion, but why not just accept the ref's decision.
It was Dickie Bird who said, "eventually the only thing they will need an umpire for is to hold the bowlers sweater"

Well if you were at the game tonight John then you'll see why I think it's a good idea.
If the ref's were of better quality then yes it would be easy to accept their decisions but we're not in an ideal world and the refing is getting worse.

'Super League' REF Roby tonight as well.....he was dire.

Yes I was at the game tonight and knew straight away that the ref was in for a bad game when he took our kickoff and put it dead.
He also made many handling errors, dropped at least two high balls failed to follow Karls game plan and didn't put the Leigh player into touch with two minutes to go.



I am far more disapointed with my teams performance tonight than I am with the officials.

Yes, our players made mistakes but I was far more upset with the standard of the ref.

IMO the team played better tonight than our last 2 wins, yes Fax made mistakes as always, but mistakes made by Leigh were rewarded.
Don't get me wrong I'm not against referees, they do a hard job that i couldn't do, but if I made the amount of bad decisions in my job Roby did tonight I'd be out on my ear!

I've just seen that he is a FULL TIME referee!!!!!

It just showed a decent super league referee penalised Fax for the way they play like they should be every week. Had Roby reffed in Blackpool would have seen Fax's slow laying on pathetic game plan beaten too. Paul Rowley knows how to beat that clearly (3 times now is no fluke). So looking forward to playing Leigh in grand final after they dispose of Harrisons WWE team in play offs. Ha ha

Decent ref? He's that good that he's no longer required in Super League!
