| For those of us who stayed, what did you think.
Personally I thought it was a great game, but in my humble opinion we would have beaten both sides.
Rob had his usual blunderfull day, took a high ball, yes a high ball perfectly, on his own line by the corner flag but then instead of dying, threw it backwards over his head to a Fev player.
Should have tackled a Fev player instead of grappling for his shirt but then popped up on a Fev mistake and scored from all of five yards.
Bambiny, superb, is he on his way to Fev?
For me, a great afternoon, only down side, was I the only person who paid for a double header?

| We would have beaten both sides comfortably today because we can defend.

| Yes Mrs LTD and I stayed on and it was a cracking game. One of Mimms try was class. Fev give it their best shot but Sheff just about got over the line. Defences looked a bit suspect.
No HJ you wasn't the only one who paid the double header price. We did too and it was still cheaper than Odsal for the Dulls v Fev midweek game!

Yes, but we could have payed the single price and still watch both games, that would have been the difference between one bag of chips and two.
To be honest, great value for money.
Nice to see a stadium used for football, rugby, ladies rugby and much much more, without some cre/tins rubbishing the Rugby Club.

| I thought the game started with the intensity of what it deserved for 2 teams going for the top 4.
Both sides looked good in attack but less so in defence especially how Fev fell away after going 10 up.
Rob, what can you say, typical day at the office and the highs and lows of his rugby league career in 1 game again.

| Glad you summed the second game up guys. Hopefully those half dozenl flat cappers who turned up ten mins from the end of our game may now be able to remember some part of the afternoon. We're not going up apparently with our fev rejects , nope probably not, but for the rest of this season we technically are!
And if they are really lucky they might get Whitehaven , Workington and London away! Therefore, to steal their chant, they ARE going up (to Cumbria ) and they ARE going down (to London)
Well played Fax. Enjoy your rewards and see what happens in the middle 8s

| I too payed the £20 and what great value it was. Fax putting in a huge defensive effort (must be a while since we nilled anyone) and on top of some fine attacking rugby.
Our game was followed by a highly competative and enthralling match. I started out supporting Eagles, a team i hate to love. Then remembering that if Fev, a team i love to hate, won we might get third place I actually applauded some of their play. Some top quality rugby, effort and skills on show. Hardman should know better than to clash heads with Yere, hope the lad is ok. Rob is what Rob is , i miss him for all those heart in mouth moments. Tonka actually did two shifts at the face!
A great afternoons entertainment. Shame about the chips.

| The most appalling use of DR this season was a struggling Fev frontloading their team with good Wakey players and beating us at the Shay, it's good that instance of DR abuse didn't make the difference.

I'll second that.

DR, in my opinion, is never good. It is, and has been from the start, a way for superleague clubs to have an outlet for returning injured players and reserves that need some game time. I believe the RFL had a hidden agenda, trying to set up Australian style feeder clubs.
That said, I am glad that RM used this dual registration to a minimum and as a last resort. Having only a couple of players used and one signing for us has been a success.

| I make no apologies for posting this twice.
Dual reg cut-off 'awful' says Talbot
"I think the system is awful" said Talbot. It is stopping young players from playing and turning young players away from the game."
Is it necessary for success ? Obviously not - even if we lose next week, we'll have the same league points as Fax. Not had a DR player all year.
