Ryan Hall has had a superb season and is very unlucky though it's hard to argue against Charnley and Lineham. That said, I wouldn't swap him for either of them.

I thought Tomkins might have gotten in on reputation more than form looking at the last few months and the games he has missed.

How on earth is young Crooks in there ahead of Watkins?

Is Matty Smith really the best 7 in the comp? If so, we have real problems.

However, most of the rest are pretty spot on.

Can't argue with the pack on the season's form, a few debatable ones in the backs.

Watkins and Moon would both be ahead of Crooks for me.

Lineham has had a good season but has it been as good as Joel Monaghan's or Ryan Hall's? Hall has maybe been a bit up-and-down compared to previous seasons, but even so.

Has Matty Smith been as good as Michael Dobson?

Not sure whether Dream Team is voted for by the players or the press. If the latter it looks like they've engineered the ready-written story of no overseas players for the first time.

Ben Crooks' tries have caught the eye. That usually counts for something. Great prospect for the future. As is Lineham. Both should be in contention for the world cup squad, though neither would make my match day team just yet.

Smith ahead of Dobson is the one call I find truly mystifying. We are horribly short of top class 7's aren't we?

That wouldn't surprise me really, especially in world cup year.
