WCC games are more of a novelty for Saints fans in recent years. Nice of them to start giving games to losers as well, just so they get to experience what they're like.

Had we only qualified via finishing 2nd or 3rd and not actually playing for the WCC trophy then I don't think we'd have sold anywhere near as well as the last 2 WCC games at Headingley. Warrington fans haven't had the chance to see their side go up against the Aussies, we've done it 6 times lately and when something was actually up for grabs. Granted it would've still been a nice little earner but without that then A, we aren't distracted (we lost some league games we shouldn't have prior to the last few WCC's) and B, might increase the attendance of the home league games around that time with people not forking out for that extra fixture.
