Several overseas signings have exceeded their visas due to the delays in getting the season started due to Covid 19.
This could mean they would not fulfill their remaining fixtures if and when the season does resume.
Not sure how this works as the season would have run until October anyway!

Usual hysteria and storm in a tea cup stuff regarding Toronto. Visas will be sorted by noises made by RFL who have been dealing with it for months with Home Office.

I would have thought the bigger issues for Toronto are financial rather than visa related right now based on what is being reported.

They won't be alone in that though sadly.

Liam Kay signing for Wakefield imminently too. Takes them down to 15 player for the restart if visas aren’t sorted. Rumours of them constantly being paid late too.

Doesnt it seem strange that Toronto players never know when they are getting paid yet players are always queueing up to gp there and agents never stop them going by the looks. Pretty close knit group RL players yet none of them seem to talk other players out of going there.

Doesnt add up to me. Seems odd.

Sadly I think you are right. No doubt Argyle is a wealthy guy but he didn't get that way by throwing his money away. There is no money to be made in RL yet I imagine it takes a fair bit of dosh to set up from scratch, come up through the league's flying whole squads over all season with little fan base.

Toronto simply wouldn't survive without him and the sport is looking at clubs in NYC and Ottawa. It's a wonderful pipe dream but I just don't see how it works longterm.
