It would be nice, but history tells us that a big win would be very unlikely. Our win ratio even in our golden gen pomp was poor, and our biggest ever margin away at Saints was by 25 points in 2015. Their form might be patchy by their standards, but they are still 5th and the team that will take the field for them will be far richer in GF, Origin and international experience than our own, even when you consider Hall and Watkins. I think we are legitimate favourites going into the game for the 1st time in over a decade, but I'll settle for a win even if its by a point.

Thought Hall and Newman were poor last night.
Twice Newman shot out of the defensive line gifting 2 try`s.
Hall continued where he left off against Wire and let`s hope it`s just a blip and he goes on to score a few against Leigh.
Connor plays well behind a decent pack something we didn`t have last night.
I`m a fan of Bentley but he along with McDonnell and Gannon wasn`t good at all last night.
Lisone my pick of the forwards and I also thought Holroyd did ok.
Be tempted to bring in Ackers on the bench and replace Bentley with Jenkins as it looks like Gannon might be out next week.
Saints half backs ran the show thanks to their pack dominating ours and considering they had several players out it has to go down as a very bad day at the office for us.

A really disappointing performance but it could be a blessing in disguise in the long run. Arthur's post match reaction was great to see. "Attitude was all wrong and we better see a improvement next week". None of the rubbish we used to hear from RS. I think Friday nights game will be a reference point he will use plenty of times throughout the season to remind the team what can happen when you are not in the right frame of mind. 
Saints played well and he has said a few times that he can accept that sometimes you can play well and get beaten by a better side on the night. We may have lost anyway but to hear him say we were miles off and he won't accept it was refreshing to hear.

And last night Wilkin chipping in stating we were arrogant.
Not sure about the arrogance but do feel we thought we were better than what we are and we just had to turn up.
Next 3 games should see where we are at.

Wow, some of the takes on here are incredible! We should just sack half the staff, all the players and find a new owner. 


Really disappointing loss, but ultimately these things happen. We're top 3, and having a great season so far, and I can't remember the last time we won 5 on the bounce.


I think it was JP who used to say most of your players have to have an 8 out of 10 performance to win games each week, Friday was an example of too many players being at 5 or 6/10, which in the context of the season has been really unusual. 


The reality is we struggle with Saints. They are super aggressive side and pretty horrible in the tackle with tons of interference, and that got us way too frustrated. We've been playing at a really high intensity all season, and it looked like it caught up on us a bit. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to our game this week against Leigh, which should be really competitive. 

I don’t think Friday’s defeat was down to attitude, more a case of us not being as good as the fans started to think we were. I was disappointed because it was a good time to play Saints, they had a large part of their salary cap sat injured on the bench and we couldn’t take advantage. We were predictable and at times clueless. We also don’t have enough pace in the team to strike from deep and that kills you when you’re chasing a game. The upside for the players is a chance for revenge is just around the corner, the downside is they will have troops back. I’m enjoying the season overall, not solely from a Leeds perspective, and the chase for the top 6 is both competitive and compelling. Shame there’s no relegation because it would have been an interesting season right throughout the league.
