| 2pts that's the bottom line. But Batley really are the poorest team we've faced this season and they really made it a dogfight at times.
Armitage took all his tries well. I'd love to see what he could do in the centres. Holmes great enthusiasm and pace at fullback. Thought Bayliss had a good game and Waine was decent when he was given a chance. Lilley's goalkicking was great too. Also though Blake was great in defence, I wish we could get him more ball in attack.
On the negative side we were really scruffy with our handling and our ends to sets and against a better team we'd really get punished. Out PTB was too slow with our players put on their back too much. Credit is Batley for their effort.
We could've had a lot more points if we'd had better support play too. A lot of times we seemed to be standing back and admiring rather than backing up.
Plenty to work on. We had to work really hard. Think were lacking impact players, we really miss Doro and to a lesser extent Pele.

| Being brutally honest, I thought we were poor tonight. Batley are a poor team. They try, but have absolutely no quality within their team. If we played anyone with some quality, we'd be looking at a very different result tonight. I just thought we looked sluggish and the execution was poor. We don't look synched as a team.
I'd be amazed if we extend Hurrells loan. The guy can barely walk!
Positives: Holmes looks sharp. Blake's defence got us out of a few situations number of times.
Massive Improvement needed for next week though, otherwise it will be yer another defeat to Barrow.

| Hurrell l thought did better last night, made some good yardage but we needed it more often. He is clearly not fully match fit, guess the coaching staff will have to make a call on whether he has shown enough in practice to suggest he wants to get back into shape. Lose a few kilos and he might be a handy player to have on board but can he stay injury free long enough to get there?
Scurr looked a bit more like his old self last night, having him back to full strength will help massively as our pack looks to lack some punch at times. Attack looked disjointed once again, but defence was solid albeit perhaps a limited team in terms of quality.
Tougher tests to come on the road.

| Hurrell isn't going to lose a few kilos is he? He can hardly run. Even if he knuckled down to get fit it'd take a few months. It's a bit of an indictment that we've nobody to step up from reserves or left the squad so thin in the backs.
The fluidity we saw in our attacking play earlier in the season (in fits and starts) seems to have gone. Not sure why give the halfbacks are the same.

| Noble said in post match interview, Gill, Hooley and Mason should all be available for next week.
We don’t need Hurrell. Either Gill straight back in or Armitage/Hooley as the centre/wing combination
