We tried our best but the reality is all of the kiwi players perform at a higher level in the NRL. Johnson is different class to anything we've got and I think they'll be privately disappointed they didn't beat us by more points. Despite the defeat and costly errors we made I still think we performed nearer to our full potential than they did.

The result isn't what we hoped for but with several of our boys playing in an inferior competition it's hardly a surprising outcome. I think this is why someone as knowledgeable as Bennett played down England chances before the competition. The simple fact is we can match their effort and enthusiasm but collectively we're not good enough.

In any case if the ball is 'behind' the post as it is moving from right to left as we see it, which must be the case as it was the shot from behind the posts any before or after frame is irrelevent, the ball cannot swerve back around 180 degrees and re-appear 'in front' of the post and carry on moving left as viewed from behind the posts.
If you bother to check the video footage, put it into full screen and do a frame by frame pause, grab the image it's obvious even without any fancy processing that the ball was obscured by the post as soon as it started to slide past it. By definition this means the ball travelled outside of the right upright (left post as seen from behind)and went wide.
it is not physically possible for the ball to be obscured at that juncture, pop out still partially hidden as it continues to go wide past the upright and then do the 180degree about face and start a completely new trajectory. okay, maybe an almighty gust of wind or a 'hand of god' but again this never occured.

We are talking about it because a critical error was made by a match official that has a direct impact on our national teams chances of reaching the final. this error was denied by those in the hierachy and the mistake perpetuated by lies from the host broadcaster.

Were James Graham, Sam Burgess, Daryl Clark and Johnny Lomax all in on this conspiracy too as they can all be seen clearly looking at the ball when it travels over?

knockers> I saw your earlier post, and from what you say about travelling from right to left, I agree that it appear to show that the kick missed.

Either way, the ref's decision is the only that matters, though
