So basically he'll sign for SL to work off his ban and play a game or two before heading back to Oz. Super.

I don't understand how any club could pay his contract this year within the salary cap? Are clubs allowed to retire players off or loan out players to reduce their spend against the cap? I know if a player returns from RU it only counts as half for the first season which would be 75k as a marquee player but surely non of the clubs he's linked with would be working under the cap.
