Didn't watch Boots N All this week out of principle - the principle that it's crap - but if he was refferring to the Front Row or the halfbacks, then it's hardly a Cullenism, been around for years in one form or other.

Cullen is a tactical legend in his own mind, but I still find him entertaining.

But if you think he's bad then have a listen to Terry O'Connor on the William Hill podcast every week. Same boring drival and just not funny.

Brains Trust isn't a Cullenism, I use it to take the p155 out of some mates at work.

I find it very informative and like to be shown things that I would otherwise not have seen. However, it does sound like he makes it up each week - kick split



I remain convinced though that the other 11 SL coaches (in PC time) always knew that little bit more and he was constantly outcoached - eg. John Kear could beat a PC team if he fielded 13 dustbins with no interchanges.

I'm not sure about 11, but I know what you mean.

To be fair to Cull, he always seemed (not always of course - but did well) to get the better of Nobby. We did really well over the years against Bradford & Wigan coached Noble sides.

You get the feeling now that Smith might get us through a play off or whatever or like hehas done to date, change a game at HT as he'll see things quicker than Cull, and have the nous to fix it.

I've always liked the guy, a perfect gentleman.

Unfortunately as the weeks roll by i cant take him seriously anymore. Especially since his comment 'there's Michael Monaghan back to his best position at hooker'.

He was referring to the playmakers, specifically 6,7,9 and 13 and used it umpteen times. Must have been for a bet.

I've watched RL for over 35 years and never heard that phrase used in any way, shape or form.

I often wonder if they rehe the show in the car on the drive down to the SKY studio's in London. I presume Cull, Eddie and Terry travel in the same car seeing as they're all local.
