That depends on Huddersfield and Castleford whether they can guarantee the opposition £180k ! i think which is debatable because that would count for about 8000 of the crowd and could either side hope to get a bigger crowd and make a profit ?

I'm really shaking my head at this comp. Every time we come up close against the Aussies in a Test series, Brits trot out the same old argument that we play too many games compared to them...."no wonder we can't compete"....so what do we do, invent more games

It's one WCC and 2 friendlies thrown in for good measure, i want the actual game not the friendly, if we miss out so be it.

Obviously Ganson's Optician will come on saying it's going to be amazing, and Rogues Gallery will go to all three games, but personally I hope we're not involved ever unless it's to compete for the WCC itself.

The old tour matches were great (I was at Wilderspool V Australia in '94) but those tours don't happen anymore, and the two glorified friendlies in this one are a complete waste of everyone's time.

It depends on how the RFL define 3rd ranked team (in the event of LLS winners being in the final). It was questioned at the time that if the 2 GF teams were first and say 5th then 3rd place in the league (the original simple interpretation) would go in above 2nd.... silly idea in anybodies language. It then appeared to be "clarified" that it was the 3rd RANKED team, not 3rd placed. If the RFL insist on 1st being the winners of the GF, they surely 3rd ranked should come from the semi-finals.

The Guardian match report is suggesting that Warrington have 'qualified'; it says we are likely to play Brisbane Broncos on a Friday night.....

Did it say how we qualified?

Presumably it's the two finalists and the highest ranked semi final losers then
