| We are tactically clueless, so what do we do? Repeat ad infinitum.
Patton looks lost at this level, more often than not.
Brown no more looks a rugby player, than the Bananarama girls do.
ANOTHER half without a try scored.
Pathetic kicks on tackle 6
Too many anonymous players.
We've got more problems than Dear Diedre's in-tray.
HEADS MUST ROLL. We simply cannot carry on regardless

| What hurts is the hope. From minutes 10-42, we looked better than we have all season and were using the ball with a bit of speed and verve (last tackle kicks aside).
The second half was largely a disaster, and the 'attacking' kicks plainly embarrassing. Seriously, your team rolls 70m down the field and then you end it with a gentle chip kick into the fullback's arms.
I like a halfback to take the line on, but I'm not sure who Brown thought he was kidding tonight. He kept trying to burst through the line from 20 or so metres out. No chance.
A few players had good games. Russell, Ratchford (horrendous pass to Lineham aside), Philbin, Hill, Atkins. Westerman was superb until he got injured. Cooper showed signs of what he can do.

| We simply have no mental toughness, no mongrel, no tenacity, no common sense and no sense of outrage whatsoever.
We should be a registered charity because we find more ways to lose a game, more willingness to let teams off the hook and an earnest and predictable determination to return the initiative to teams at the earliest opportunity.
Half backs that go missing instead of demanding the ball and making it happen.
Forwards trying to squeeze an extra second recovery in the ptb and conceeding penalties with monotonous regularity.
Attempting miracle passes on the first tackle and pointless kicks on the last
Weakly surrending at the ptb and handing control to the tackler
We should have been indignant and raging at the start of the second half - on the wrong end of a lopsided penalty count and a very borderline decision. We were off the ropes and on top and we meekly surrended without a whimper.

Brown was a panic buy when you take away injuries and poor performances if he gives you 3/4 good solid match wining games by the end of the season you will be lucky he got in the England set up last year ahead of Syned due to Betts blowing his trumpet with Bennett what ever you paid it was cash down the drain

| i thought westerman tried to do too much, twice he could have passed the ball out wide when we were down to 12 but decided to take on the whole world by stepping back inside each time

| Damn right number six...your ex player and one of our only shining lights this season really was the reason we got beat....clever clever hull getting rid of him and Lineham...another top performer for us. I hope we go on to absolutely dominate the game as hull have done recently

| I think there is still a mentality issue with some of our fans.. Especially among some of the ones on Twitter and the types that frequent that Facebook Barmy Army page... They are thinking along the lines of " oh well Back in the day we used to be crap" ?? But does that mean we should just except anything ??

I am glad they are playing well for you but we needed to get rid of bad eggs and since they have gone our team spirit has just gone up and up and the fact you paid really good money for them was a win win for us.
I think I am happier having Forua over Lineham.

| But the real tragedy is that someone who is supposed to be savvy in these matters, a bit of a player among SL managers, is over seeing the recruitment at our great club & making a right pig's ear of it.

Genuine question. Do you know as a fact that Agar is responsible for recruitment, and if so how?
I personally think our recruitment in recent times has been based on a "buy British" policy, and within those parameters it's been as good as it can be.
This is only guesswork on my part.
I'm not making any judgement on whether that is an appropriate basis for recruitment, particularly when you see the extent to which the teams at the top at the moment have a surfeit of foreign players.

| I don't think i mentioned Agar, but for the last few years our head coach has sanctioned the signing of players who have not been value for money to say the least. Is there no reliable scouting system at our club similar to the scouts that seem to turn up bargain basement gems at other clubs ? There is more to excusing seasons of under performing than gurning at the camera & tossing a few sound bites around.
The club since its move to the HJ has attracted more fans but even the die hards these days are struggling to attend, leading to falling gates & what about the sponsors ? The club is well sponsored so far ,but apart from providing money ,these brands & companies want to be associated with success.
