On Sunday after the interview with Dr Koukash, the North stand was buzzing with the possibility that he would be joining us, social media has been discussing it and it seems people are awaiting an announcement.
The only place it seems where it is being kept quiet about it is Leigh Centurions and Mr Beaumont, surely the club knows the anticipation the fans have of what it would mean to the club if the Doc joined us, so why keep everyone hanging on.
C'mon Derek make a decision and let us now what what you are going to do the ball is firmly in your court, qoute "If Derek will have me it is 9 out of 10 I will be joining Leigh Centurions" obviously there would be some "Red Tape" to cross through, but a statement to that effect would surfice, or j6st tell us if it is a non starter.
There is plenty of activity going on in the transfer market, if the intension is that he will be joining us, do it as soon as and get into the market, it doesn't matter which division we will be in next season, we still need a team capable of playing in the SL.

Totally agree Harry , after I heard the interview I was buzzing , thinking what the future holds for Leigh Centurions , the Derek and Marwan show would be a crowd puller , and what publicity , Cmon Derek , make a statement .

Totally agree with an update on the new coach and an announcement on signings.

TBF to D.B it wasn't called a 'done deal' by Koucash & these things will have to go through a fine tooth comb before signing off, that is if it happens.

There will be much to discuss between the pair, will it be a 50/50 partnership or will one or the other want a majority holding ? Lot's to consider.

With Koukash you never know. He is very good at getting the headlines. What substance there is we do not know. Was it a pitch to DB have discussions already taken place. We don’t know either way until we get comment from the club just noise at the moment. Would be pleased if we started to secure some of the current squad for next year whatever the division.

Haggerty mentioned retaining players from this years squad today, saying its important to keep hold of our best players. The question is, though, how many of our better players are still available to negotiate with?! Rumours of several already secured contracts elsewhere for next season...

I can’t see a statement, until they both know what League they are in. September will be interesting. As for securing players.That should be left to the coach.

We will need a coaching team (not only players) to get us in SL. Or even to remain in SL.

In Mr Beaumont we trust.

Koukash came to Odsal and said he would look to get involved when Chalmers was in charge. We as fans were buzzing at the thought. Never happened don't be surprised if the same happens.

Coach and players IMO need to be prioritised first!

Atomic , the RFL had a meeting today and the SL Clubs voted to keep SL as it is for next season , meaning Leigh are certain to be relegated this season .
They will however recieve a parachute payment ,though not stated how much , at least it is something , and we can now plan for life back inthe Championsship , hopefully it won’t put Derek and Marwan off .
