Anyone heard if any pubs opening in Wigan for the WCC, preferably in Wigan town centre??
I hoping Walkabout or Berkeley Sq will be opening but I've seen no adverts for it.

I was hoping the club would put in an event and have been waiting to book but nothing so far.

Seems strange.

I believe they are looking into doing something, maybe in the South Stand bar.

what time/ day is it being shown in the uk?

8.30am kick-off, comes on Sky at 8am.

its a shame its not at 11.00am or a little bit later the club could raise a fair bit of cash. Breakfast and a pint for a set price and a big screen.

Whats wrong with breakfast and a pint at 8am? That's what i'll be looking for....and seem to remember the club doin it for a tri nations game a few years ago so don't see it being a problem!

nothing i just don't think there will be as much demand. At 11 o'clock people with children could have attended and people who are looking for an afternoon out could have joined.

I don't think Wigan can ask for a 10pm kick off just so the fans back home can have a pint at a more acceptable hour

I fully understand that i am just saying its a shame

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the number of wiganers who will be quite happy to start early, and don't think a half 8 start will put kids off.

When they opened the SS for the tri nations games a few years back there was plenty of kids and plenty having a drink....don't honestly think an 11am K/o will be much different to 8.30am tbh

i can imagine more people will be enticed to go to a bar or venue to watch a game at noon rather than get a family ready at 7.30-8.00am then trek to the bar or venue. Not saying there won't be a demand just can't imagine it would be as big a demand if it was a latter kick off. But i know its not something Superleague or wigan have control over.

On the bright side it will 12.30 here and not daft o'clock
