Dom Manfredi misses out for Wigan after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in last week’s game at Castleford. Sean O’Loughlin (hamstring) and Lee Mossop also miss out with Oliver Gildart, Joe Bretherton and Jake Shorrocks all returning to the squad.

Looking like the lowest crowd for a Wigan vs Saintd game at the DW for a while.
Shame to see Lockers missing again. His one week injuries always seem to turn on to 4,5,6 week injuries and with the cap space he must take that's becoming a huge problem.
Tierney and Bretherton to miss out for me. |

Lockers needs to call time on his playing career and move into coaching preferably as an attacking coach. |

Can't make the game this week as I'm away, can't say I'm overly fussed as win or lose, I can't see any good rugby. It's about more than winning, it's how you do it, and at the moment we do it in such a mundane fashion going to games seems more of a chore than something to look forward to.

Probably how 90% of the supporters feel. Will i ever again get the buzz of the "christmas eve feeling as a child" the night before a game of rugby, somehow i doubt it. |

Surely there's always that optimism at the start of a new season?
I won't be at the Derby, I'm back in Cornwall now, although I plan to be home on Friday, and will make an effort to find a pub prepared to screen it (no easy matter where I live).
I was going to say, we're secure in the top four anyway, but I guess if we keep losing, perhaps not. Though it looks like the best slim hope for Cats and Cas would be for Saints to have a collapse, not us.
