Itś very hard to be positive isn´t it. Unfortunately, the lack of season ticket sales were the catalyst for player offloading but ticket sales now most certainly suffer even more.

It was a mistake to put it on. All it has been is a stick to beat the club with whilst in reality it's showed the pathetic support this city has for its only professional (some would argue otherwise) sports club. The players leaving were never going to help but the fact is supporters had about 2 months of purchasing time before the grim reality revealed itself and balked at firstly paying £150 for a season ticket then £180. I doubt had things not gone close to pop Trinity would have more than 2500 season ticket holders and ultimately that is not enough to fund a SL team who doesn't have a rich owner.

how many have been sold so far? you can only really expect that number to dounle from now til the start of the season (considering most people who will want a season ticket will have either renewed or bought one early doors)

We'll be lucky to get 2K let alone 3K. I got mine 3 months ago but even as a supposed 'die-hard' i'd be thinking twice about getting one now, especially at over two hundred quid.

....and there is the problem right there.....the apathy of the people of Wakefield....one of the lads i work with spent £260 the last night out he had in Leeds....and people moan that £200 for a full season of the best sport on the planet is excessive....makes my blood boil...

1600 ticket sales to a population of around 325,000. It's not even half a percent! Is there really that much going on in Wakefield that 99.51% aren't interested in its only professional sports team?

Judging by the way things are going with ticket sales and player losses, it's time to get rid of the counter and contact Bob Geldof for a 'give us your money' appeal video to put in its place.
