Anyone else experienced Rovers fans saying "We were lucky to win", and "Raynors try was good"

few mates from work who are 100% rovers fans said the try should of stood and they where in line with play they also said no fans shouted forward

Rovers were a bit lucky to win (a good example of how you do [inot[/i make your own luck, IMO). Hall's pass to Raynor looked okay on TV - even if it was a bit forward, those are mostly let go.

It was another close derby - what I'll say for Rovers is that they tend to win close games. When we lose we tend to get battered.

especially if its Leeds or Saints

Leeds are a great side but also the sied that gets away with murder in just about every game I see. Saints much the same (but still great).
We have a slight possibility of a foreward pass - Ref rules it out.
Seems like sour grapes but it's been going on for years for them.

Me too. And considering Rovers fans generally shout 'forward' at every pass, that was the one time they were quiet...and expecting Raynor to score!

Most fair minded Rovers fans are willing to admit they were lucky to get the win and that the pass was not forward. In fact a Rovers mate text me during the game to say FC were the better team. ATEOTD they still got the 2 points and thats what matters. Until we are good enough to negate the poor decisions and make the most of our opportunities we will continue to lose close games and perhaps put the blame on refs decisions etc.

A work colleague of mine thought it was a great match but he had more to say about our poor following.

Then again he has only started going to watch them since they got into superleague so I tend to ignore him most of the time!

The win was never in doubt and it was forward a mile...simple as.
