Calls time on an unbelievable Hull fc career, over 450 appearances, double challenge cup winner, man of steel dream team, record Derby appearances. The guys an FC legend, he's put his body on the line time after time for the cause, he can retire knowing he's given absolutely everything for this club.

Tackle 52 epitomes Danny’s career….it will go down in history as the tackle that won us the cup….sterling career and is another of the immortals to retire….i wouldn’t say legend but a bloody good player.

Absolute warrior, words cannot express the effort, sweat and blood he can put into the club.

Hope he still involved in some capacity at the club.

He's been offered an off field role next season, but nothing specific mentioned.

I’m not sure what else I’ve could have done to be a legend? He’s a one club local man, clocked up all those games, did tackle 52 amongst thousands of others, has been man of steel, been club captain. I would think lack of international recognition is the only omission in his career but that’s because of James Roby

Memories of THAT tackle will last a lifetime, a iconic RL moment.

Echo that, Black & White through and through, and the last of the 'Immortals'. Will be remembered for many things but Tackle 52 epitiomises Danny and his service to the club.

I've been critical of Danny over the past few years (more out the Coaches flogging him for 80mins) but can not deny he is fully deserving and earned the accolades he'll receive on his playing retirement.
