| Wow what a performance regardless of win, loss or the draw
The changes to see already under Cartwright are night and day to what we’ve seen in years
We look like a well drilled and fit team that is willing to give everything for their team mates and coach.
Cartwright has done a tremendous job so far along with this coaching team
I had doubts re Sezer but he has been a real leader and general out on the field
He’s the first in a long while we’ve had that has questioned the ref during the game
Asiata is another that has really stood up to the task at hand
Tonight they all from 1-17 did a great job but special mention to Bourouh who was outstanding tonight
I don’t think there is any doubt we still have a long way to go but credit to everyone at the club for the progress they have made and continue to make.
Overall a draw is a fair result and for the first time in a long time an entertaining game.
Sadly once again a great game has seen some poor & questionable officiating all round from all the officials
The yellow cards dished to us yet Leigh escape for very similar offences, Martins try being awarded was very dubious and then to top off the terrible display was the clear foot on touch as Briscoe received the ball yet the assistant, Grant and the VR couldn’t even get that one right.
Now what we have to do is reproduce those efforts every week.

| Need to watch it again, was all a bit of a blur, but who charged down the drop goals?
Was there 3 attempts, remember one that went on the floor, but was there two others charged down and my who?

| Jake the Peg: Possibly the worst combined ref a d video ref performance I've ever seen
Some really baffling decisions tonight and all against us
Squawking Jack Smith is hopeless, but aren't most of them? Now burdening them with the difficulty of the 'Captains Challenge' has just about been a step too far. Good solid unexpexted point. May have to take our medicine in the Cup next week and hopefully come through it unscathed then a trip to Belle Vue. Bring it on.

| In a life time of watching Rugby league and indeed the club you love you milestone your life with the BIG games the ones that stand out in your life and that rather like certain songs bring back times gone by old feelings and great memories
Yet when you revisit those games like the replay at Elland Road in 1982 the win at Cardiff in 2005, that dramatic Tickle drop goal win against Saints, and even the great great 2016 2017 life changing moments you realise, that they are usually scattered with controversial decisions, strange choices, stupid mistakes and head scratching options
Last nights game was no different but the crass performance of officials who with poor inconsistent decision making and un-necessary long breaks deliberating something that is obvious to everyone there or watching at home, certainly tried its best to spoil it all
But my it didn't did it!!! Even when I watched it back in the early hours
What an experience that was! That last tackle play of the game after the hooter had gone was sheer endeavour and last ditch heroism
Us old timers, remember those great games for the handful of things that the ardent long suffering fan crave and that is the drama of it all, the vision of how far the club has moved out of adversity the pride you feel at the end of such encounters and the elation an unlikely final outcome and hope for the future brings for a short while to your life
Those are the thing that live in your memory and burn bright
To witness what we did last night after some of the heartbreaking and indeed humiliating stuff we saw last year, was a tonic for us all.
Draws have always been a rare occurrence and are often seen by many (and some on here ) as a point lost as in the 1982 Wembley Final but just occasionally as a well earned point as in the 0-0 draw against the odds, just after we had sacked our coach, against Halifax in the Cup semi final in 1988 (only to be beaten 3-4 in the replay)
However, they are, certainly since Golden Point was introduced, a very rare thing.
Fact was last night we have come so far so quickly as far as pride and wanting is concerned that I was simply elated at the final hooter and it almost seemed to me like a win
People left the game with their chests puffed out smiling and reliving the sheer all embracing escapism of it all
I was so proud of the lads last night
Yes we can improve but there a basic building blocks every improving team needs and that starts with passion heart and a well organised and drilled defence
Once you have that you can start looking at the fineries of attacking play but the change in the attitude out there now is almost unbelievable
No one shirked anything
Players derided on here as not good enough when signed like Cust and Borough were massive, we had size again in the pack and two wingers who carried the ball up the middle time and again when bodies flagged
And, Props and second rowers were out of the line to charge down drop goal attempts
Plus, we have a proper scrum half at last, tons of quality youth coming through and a group of players who see that crowd, see their wanting and get it
The fans like last week got us home last night and all we all want is that passion whatever the outcome
I loved it!
There's a long way to go and there will be plenty of disappointments and who knows it may all fall apart but with the off field team we now have (try and watch it back just for John Cartwright's reactions to the big points in the game as he lives it all as we all do) we are a different animal at present. All his mates back home texting him to congratulate his efforts so far afterwards must have made him proud
Thanks Hull Fc for a really great experience a great night of drama and a mammoth effort; long may it continue
(Sorry, First my posts have no spaces in them when I try to write in paragraphs now they are massive....
baffling)

Pretty sure Lane was involved in the first one but would have to watch it back Think it might have been Ashworth as seem to remember him being at square marker but they're not on the highlights unfortunately.

I thought the first attempt was by Ashworth Or if it wasn't Ashworth who actually did the charge down he was the one who chased the ball back 50 metres and tackled the Leigh player Outstanding effort by him
