Think the days when it was an automatic sell-out, or close to it at least, are long gone. Not sure what can be done to revitalise it as a major sporting event, but considering this is a final being played out between two traditional and reasonably well supported clubs, it looks embarrassing.
By way of comparison, at Wembley last Sunday the fifth-tier football play-off final (Oldham v Southend) drew a crowd over 52k. I know we're not football but it looks really disappointing to the Tv audience.
At least we're no longer the only side to have lost to Huddersfield.
Apart from the Challenge cup run Wire have looked off-key for the bulk of the year. Think next Saturday against us is virtually do or die for them, they have to win or it's season end for them.
