Wire have made the same mistake that Huddersfield did against Wigan three years ago, tried to run the clock down with safety first rugby only to get caught by the sucker punch minutes from glory.
Felt all the way through the second half that Wire needed to score another to finish rovers off, couldn't see 6-2 being a winning score and so it proved.
As soon as that high tackle went in on Davies you could see it panning out, think Wire were desperately hoping for rovers to cough up possession and relieve the pressure at that point. Fair play to rovers for sticking in there, but gutting for the rest of us!
At least we're no longer the only side to have lost to Huddersfield.
Apart from the Challenge cup run Wire have looked off-key for the bulk of the year. Think next Saturday against us is virtually do or die for them, they have to win or it's season end for them.
