Defence defence defence............our defence was awful not just tackling but our containment of the ball to prevent an offload, so much work needs to be done for us to truly improve, The fourth word is TRAVESTY and this is because we played a team who pushed us all the way showed team spirit and guile, and had a following to match, it is pure travesty that a team like this is prevented from playing in the top tier while other teams are promoted too early and above their fighting weight. Well done Halifax I hope it isn’t at our expense but keep that up and build upon it and I cannot see how you missing out on a license next time round....

I think it is clearly apparent to all but the galactically stupid and TM ... that our defence is woeful and has not improved since he has arrived.

We need a defensive coach ASAP ... TM needs to get over his ego trip admit he is clueless in defence and get someone in who could sort it out (Adrian Vowles for me)

I am sure our next royal spanking will be dished out next friday as the Rhinos know how to score and against our defence will have a field day....

But don't be TOO harsh on your defence. Halifax are playing like a team possessed in attack this season, and, albeit granted we are rattling barrel loads in against the likes of Batley, I've never seen such an obsession to offload and score on almost every play from a Fax team over the many years I have followed them. And we have a truly awesome combination in Black, Gleeson, Beswick and Penky who constantly scrurry around and are looking constantly for those elusive gaps. NL teams simply can't cope with them, now they've proved they are GENUINE quality by rattling your guys as well!

thought Ben Black was fantastic and is certainly one i would be pleased to have in our squad as were a few others, the support play from Fax was impressive.

Ben is a top player, good kicking game and got alot of speed too, so if he finds a gap it's goodbye and hello try line!

Thought before the game i would be pleased if we competed for 40 minutes out of the 80 but to compete for 81 is just outstanding.The game basically came down to a coin toss. Top game, good day out. Hope both teams can kick on from here. I for one would be well chuffed if Cas could make it to the final. As we have shown today anything can happen in cup rugby.
