Just a quick one chaps. Me and the missus visited Castleford for the first time in thirty years on Sunday to watch the Wolves. We live in London and drove up Sat night, no tickets, no hotel. We found a nice little place to stay near the town, then nipped to the ground Sunday morning to grab some tickets.
We then spent the morning having a look around the area, Xscape centre etc.
I have to say throughout the entire trip, without exception, everyone we met was warm, helpful, welcoming. The club staff sorted us out great seats, gave us a tour, couldn't do enough for us. Though we were sat in amongst all the Tigers fans, we heard no bad language, just good rugby league banter and wise comment. The whole atmosphere at the game was friendly and quiet a joy.
We had a superb experience in a surprisingly special place. I'll make sure we don't miss out the away game to Cas ever again!

Thanks for taking the time out to leave such a positive comment about our club. As everyone knows, we've had more than our fair share of poop slung at our club's good name and it's nice to hear an opposition fan have something good to say.

It is massively appreciated comments like that, it's easy to find the inclination to moan and castigate, but much more difficult to find the urge to say when things were good.

no this was before kick off, about 45 minutes, kept coming back and disapearing throughout the day.

The burning smell would have been the fumes the Nestle factory next to the stadium produces.
