Its well into the world cup and the main topic of discussion before we got started was the Wigan-Saints game, and this was with a couple of guys who don't normally watch it.

A great advert for the game, atmosphere, intensity, skill, drama and biff; OK it was not SOO but would be nice to have more games at this kind of level.

Same happened when I got in this morning, walked into the middle of a conversation between an Man Utd and Man City fan, both talking about the Rugby League. Belting!

Also, did that player for Ivory Coast make it through the night? Hope he's okay, poor little soul.

The derby was a superb advert for the game. The 2nd SOO 2010 game was a fantastic game too; albeit it for different reasons (i.e. a game of rugby broke out during the fighting).

It was. Big crowds and great games are what we need more of, if this happens the media won't ignore us forever.

To get back on topic, Wigans defence was poor for the Wellens try but I thought both defences were good expecially saints, we suffered on our own line though.

Defences were open towards the end of the game, but it was such a tough, fast game in boiling weather it's no wonder.
