Set my Virgin HD BOX to record the game on BBC HD and it only recorded up to the 80th min.Then stops its missed the last ten mins and all the cup presention and lap of honuor.Any one eles have this problem?

Exact same thing has happened to me with my Virgin Plus box.
I have got all of the match and a few minute of interviews after, but then that's it.
No Cup presentation, no lap of honour , no Tony Smith (Peace and Blessings be upon him) interview etc etc.

I haven't looked as yet. I recorded final score after the game just incase. Seems like my master plan has worked.

Will still but the DVD from the club shop because they will have everything on it. Maybe even the homecoming?

Motor racing overran by 7-8 mins, my Sky+ got all the game and presentations but not the celebrations.

Last year a full repeat was on iplayer.k

Yeah on sky+HD it finished just after the trophy presentation, but looking at it on iPlayer there wasn't much more as they didn't have any of the lap of honour on BBC one or BBC HD as they ran out of time so put it on the red button.

I havent checked my recording yet but I did extend the timer, but part of the problem will be that the motor-racing overran so BBC coverage started late and then in usual BBC style "of lets get coverage back on schedule by not staying for the celebration"

Why would the motor racing over running effect the end of the Cup Final transmission. The game started on time the problem is the BBC want to get back to show the results from the round ball games.

All the celebrations etc have been on the red button for the past few seasons now. Unless you are there in front of your TV or have someone to do it for you then you will always miss out on that part of the TV coverage. Mind you they wouldn't do that with the football cup final but we as a sport are not important enough to warrant the coverage they get unfortunately. By the way well done on your win yesterday. The best team won and you have kept the cup on the right side of the pennines.

The point I was making was that the BBC will make allowances for motor-racing/football etc but even with their "pride in their cup coverage" they cant even be bothered to scheduel in time for the celebrations on the mainstream channels.

Is there any way of seeing the red butten part now. Will it be on iplayer

I can't stand the Beeb, you can watch the whole thing online in iPlayer (I am right now), but you can't get it on iPlayer through the TV, so I can't tape it.

Perhaps the solution would be to move the date of the CC Final back to it's original time in the year to avoid the clash with the football season etc. It was the choice of the BBC to move the game and the RFL agreed to it unfortunately.
