| Says his favourote player is Alfie Langer!!!
To be honest though, I'd rather have Ratch at FB once Brett retires and promote the youngsters from within into the first team. I'd like the club to be associated with two things silverware and the development of players - not a cheque book wielding behemoth that pinches other clubs most promising talents or signing up classy Aussies at the end of their NRL careers.

I find this hard to believe. The good Doctor is hardly a wallflower when it comes to trying to sign players.

| Why would Ratchford go back to Salford? He'll hardly get a massive pay rise if he does as it is very unlikely that the salary cap will be lifted or riased to any great degree over the next few months. He'll hardly be appearing in Wembley or Grand Finals with Salford now will he. He currently plays for one of the top teams in the competition that have won a trophy for the last four seasons. Salford are bottom of the table with no hope of getting to a final in the next five years. And he's not from Salford, so can't have a domestic "going home" desire.
Morley to Salford is very likely in my opinion - he'll not get a contract renewal at Warrington after this one finishes and he does have a "lad coming home" reason to go there. The question is would Nobby want him for a season or two?

Players are motivated by; 1) Money and 2) Silverware
Wire can offer the same money as Koukash, they are a top 4 club, have fantastic facilities, and have a much better chance of silverware than Salford over the next few years.
You need to do a bit of joined up thinking.

Birchwood or Burtonwood Bob, I hope you're not tempting fate for this years' competition, I have a real uneasy feeling about this weekend's game. Mind you, one look at my prediction league standing should reassure everyone that I'm usually way off the mark...don't panic Captain Mainwearing.
Stef to stay I say

Glad it isn't just me feeling uneasy about Sunday, form might as well go out the window with games like this. Last year they only lost to Leeds in the cup by 10 points to 16, the corresponding fixture in Super League finished 16-56 the month before. Their SL season is effectively over so they can afford to treat this like a final and throw everything at it. Nobby knows how to get players fired up for games like this, and no doubt the Doctor will have a nice winning bonus riding on it. Far from the drawn conclusion many think it will be, which will sadly be reflected in the attendance on Sunday.

He would have been paid a high salary, as we didn't have a huge number of highly paid stars.
But anyway, ask yourself, what is the motivation for Ratchford ? No higher salary, much less chance of silverware, playing in front of small crowds in a stadium that is in the middle of nowhere, with a club that has few facilities.
It will take at least 8 yrs to rebuild Salford, and that assumes Koukash stays. The club will have to be completely rebuilt from the bottom up. Look how long it took Wire to get to the top, even with Moran's money. And we had the advantage of being able to buy in high quality Oz stars. That is no longer possible ; which is why he want's the salary cap to be raised of course. No, it will be a long hard slog for you.

Exactly this Ganson's.
The quicker we get this particular banana skin of a game out of the way with the Wire in the hat for the next round the better
