So how do we think our pack has fared this season?



It's been a bit of a transitional year for our pack this season.... We have seen probably the best front row in SL of Morley, Monaghan, Carvell from a few years ago start to decline with none of them starting games anymore.

Hill have been the standout prop yet again. His stats are superb in every column... Morley hasnt had a good year with injuries.. looks like we are getting rid at the right time. Wood has had a good solid season... Great meters from cooper in his limited appearances

Westwood has been good in places, but hasn't been as good as the previous years.... He certainly seems to have done Waterhouses running for him... 1063 more meters and 126 more carries... its no wonder he always looks knackered... An average of under 50m a game for Waterhouse with ball in hand isnt great.

Currie has had a decent year averaging over 7m per carry.... be interesting to see him progress next season.

*EDIT - Forgot to say we should be literally praising the lord for Highams form this season. We would have been in a bit of trouble without him.

Just wondering how some of the players have played that many games - Benny 35 games, thought we'd only played about 31 inc a Wigan friendly?
Has McCarthy played 21 times - I know he's not been that great, but surely I couldn't of completely missed him that many times??

Not really looked at the stats but i think we have been better since starting with Hill and Woody.

By that you'd say Westwood has played every game this season, 26 league games, 4 cup games and 3 preseason that adds up to 33 so I'm wondering were the other two have come from?

Are they including the Exiles matches? That could be the missing two if so.

Chris Hill is an absolute beast of a player. I'd like to see his stats against other props in SL.

Wood has had his best year
Higham, no further comment needed player of the year by a country mile
McCarthy needs to be introduced to Mr Tackle Bag

Hill is the new Westwood, an absolute machine sent back from the future by TS' son to terminate Wigan ...... and we are really, REALLY going to miss big Gaz Carvell.

I'd say yes to everyone apart from McCarthy, he's got the worst stats out of all the plays regarding games played...his time is up at Warrington if you ask me rather watch currie, Riley, bridge, laithwaite if I'm honest

You are to McCarthy as Padders is to Bridge.

Hill is a stand out. Time is right for Morley and Carvell to move on, McCarthy has been over taken by Currie and Laithwaite and can leave. Fingers crossed Anthony England can develop to be half the player that Chris Hill is, and we will have a cracking signing in him.

Fingers crossed we can get our backline fit throughout next year so we can add Grix back in to this list, started like a house on fire in the pack and deserves to have a regular spot rather than being a jack-of-all-trades. Harrison makes a difference to our pack, and I hope we get at least double the 12 appearances from him for next year.

I took the games played from love rugby..... didnt look right to me either, but i couldnt find anywhere else.
