Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"
Brough is probably just a northern divvy who got carried away with some pals.
It will hardly make a ripple in the media. And is probably a get out of jail free card for Steve mcormack.'"
Not a dig at you, biccy (you're one of the few on here, who's posts I look forward to reading), but it DID raise a ripple. More than a ripple, in fact. It was the second story on the Beeb's sport website, when it broke at dinner time.
As I've said on here COUNTLESS times before, the Beeb only give RL airtime on sports news, when it's a NEGATIVE story.
Typical example
There's a sports desk after the 4 o'clock news on Steve Wright's programme on BBC radio 2. Hardaker''s ban was on there (quite rightly, as it was news), but I never heard any team announcements for the 2 WC games we've already played. The BBC love to kick our game. We NEVER hear positive news.
When there's been a Friday night SL game on Sky, BBC Breakfast will pick the scruffiest try possible to show (begrudgingly). A minute before, they'll have shown a rah-rah game involving one try, and their presenter will make it sound like Gareth Edwards effort for the 1973 Barbarians.
But you were right, biccy. Brough IS a Northern divvy. Didn't Long do something similar, the day after we last beat the Aussies in 2006,
RL players. They're not the brightest, are they?
