Perhaps we have been recommended by Mr Price seeing as he plays for Cronulla and could have been in Newtown Jets as a developing player when Mr Price was there first time round. Must be a confident player though won two finals at Jets one in extra time and one seconds from the end both with chips over the top for players to run on to.

If he wants to return to the NRL he will need a couple of good years with us, as long as he is fulfilling his contract with us I have no issue, I'd rather he was upfront about it. Lets be honest, the vast majority of players that are moving from NRL - SL would rather be in the NRL, but see the SL as a better option due to lack of opportunities or by way of extending their career for an extra couple of seasons.

I see it as a positive. I'll be trying my best so I can get a contract back in the NRL rather than "nice easy pay day before retirement."

I'll be intrigued to see where he fits in and where Powell plays him.

Are we??... Currie is a good player, I'll give you that. Holmes is potentially a good signing. Longstaff looks a promising player, though I wouldn't be rushing him, nor expecting the world from him just yet. Clark and Hughes are the type of uninspiring plodder that any consistently underachieving side should be looking to ship out.

So, overall, this lad looks like a (cheap) gamble worth taking, especially as we have a coach who seems to want to get away from the turgid fare we have been served up under Price.
