been reading this forum for years and decided to sign up and get something off my chest.
we must have the most negative bunch of supporters anywhere everything the club does or try and does is shot down and moaned about.

all i see is people saying where gonna be bottom again next year and there wont be any difference as we havent signed top players, how do you know ? who actually thought we would finish bottom last year ? i didnt and none of my mates did either which just goes to show that you never know whats gonna happen in a new season.

So we have let some players go and in my opinion i dont think we will miss any of them that have gone, the players we get in in the future should make the squad better i'm confident rick stone and robbo and spuggy can turn things around and make a difference and get these good players we have playing to their strenghts again and will be determined not to be down there again.

instead of moaning about whats happened ans what you think may happen why not look on the positive side and think well it cant get any worse than bottom so lets get behind them and let them see positive thoughts.
The players and coaches read stuff on here and it does bother them especially when some stuff are just made up lies.
im looking forward to next season already i think it will be an enjoyable one.

I understand your sentiment.

However I think as a group we are frustrated with last year. We have sustainably built into a top SL club and in one season have fallen back down to rock bottom. The primary reasons for which were clear for all to see, and which still haven't necessarily all yet been acted upon.

I agree that we are a negative bunch on here. But after the season that has just passed who can blame us, we are fans who pay our money and the majority of us have the best interests of the club at heart. Frustration is to be expected and forums are a way for us to express our feelings. If the club/coaches/players don't want to know our honest opinions then they shouldn't go looking at fans forums.

I'm hopeful that with a new centre, prop and full back we can challenge again for the top 8, but this needs to come to fruition, our squad has become smaller every year for the last 5 years, there must be room left on the cap, if not there are a lot of overpaid players in our squad.

I think we praise where praise is due too. Concensus on the shirts is very good, season ticket deals have gone down a treat. The club are more visible in the town and the video clips online are great. We discuss this too.

I agree with your opinion, but also think everyone is entitled to their own.

worst of the lot is the giants facebook page... despair to think what the players think reading the comments on that, which is much more likely than looking on here which in the main has the more loyal and knowledgeable supporters

Perhaps you should start a Fartown mutual admiration society, What do you expect people to say on a forum, They give their opinions Which is what a forum is for, You say fans on here are moaners, Your second post is moaning about other fans, but that's your opinion and you are entitled to it.
I'm not particularly happy about signing championship players as a way to go forward, They might work out, they might not, that will be down to RS to sort, It's well known they have tried to offload them " allegedly " and failed, If that's true then it would seem RS wasn't over the moon about getting them either but he will no doubt do what he can and who knows !

Bottom line is people will have opinion, you can either accept they may differ from some of yours, or you can choose not to read them.

Spot on, and the main reason i don't bother with this forum much anymore, it's just negative all the time, whenever someone does post something positive they get slaughtered or accused of being a pacifist or accepting crap etc.
Wait til the season starts and god forbid should we not win every game 50-0!

Good post Spaines - then many on here bemoan the lack of traffic and comments and don't get the irony. Sure that there are many like me who signed up years ago but rarely comment for the reasons you mention. Goodness only knows what the players think of it all

Forums/social media give everyone a voice and people's opinions will always differ.
No doubt about it, the club has done things wrong and taken some backwards steps over the last two/three years. But there is definitely reason to be optimistic for the future. Brierley, Symonds and ikahihifo will all be settled with a full pre.season. Gaskell has potential to be an awesome player. Clough and Ferguson will be solid. And if we can resolve the Mamo deal with Newcastle we will have two of the quickest players in the league with Mamo and Brierley.
I'm also really excited to see Brierley, Symonds, Leroy and Jermaine. Brierley was really mixing it up last year, giving Leroy early ball and also the threat of brierleys outside players should give Brierley some space like he got vs KR.

Stone is making all the right noises for me and has clearly identified where the problems are and is working hard to fix them.
Let's judge the team once they take the field.

people only moan because they care when the moaning stops thats when you need to be worried always remember that.

If some of last seasons poor performances weren't worthy of criticism or "moanworthy" then I give up.





Also some of our previous coaches decisions and feeble excuses for these performances were also just cringeworthy, monotonous, "moanworthy" drivel. Without wanting to "moan" too much he left us right up to our necks in IT. If people can't express opinions on this board without being tarred as a "moaner" then I give up. Perhaps we should all keep our opinions to ourselves and shut this forum down, or perhaps we could all become "happy clappers".
