Incredible drama - one of the best playoffs ever.

Both teams have resilience in abundance - all the credit in the world to both.

I thought our halfbacks were the stars for us - they made the right decisions at the right times. Flower, Burgess and Farrell were probably the three other top performers for me but everyone was great.

Glad Bowen and Sarginson's errors didn't come back to haunt us.

One more - let's keep hold of the thing.

Got to give Wire huge credit. They somehow stuck in during a first 35 min where Wigan threw the kitchen sink at them in attack and defence and in the end they had chances to seal it.

Great character from us to come back for a second go after going behind as well. We'd have blown most teams away in the first half playing at that intensity.

My legs were like jelly at the end! What a game.

Other than the result, can't complain with the thread title.

That's what playoffs or finals should be like. Great Game and could have gone either way. Only disappointment was listening to Wanes comments at the end. Personally thought it was poor blaming officials for result that should have won by more. God knows what he would have said if he'd lost. Enjoy the final think you'll walk it.

Great game, I am gutted about the result but fair play to Wigan. Both teams were great, just a silly crossing error really cost us in the end. I thought both sets of players showed massive character it was brilliant, but from a wire point of view it's just a massive shame about then result.

I thought both teams were great and if Wire had played any other team they would have been at OT next week. I think Wane was spot on about the refs performance. At least he recognised the effort put in by the opposition and took time out to shake their hand.

Go on then what was bad about the officials I thought personally they did nothing wrong even with clubbs two high tackles in succession. Wire got lucky with the passes to head and body in the first try. I personally thought they let the game flow and two evenly matched sides fought it out and Wigan came out on top.

The only disappointment for me tonight was that that game wasn't the final.

Wigan and Wire are the 2 best teams in this competition by some distance.

(and before anyone starts banging on about Saints topping the table - So did Huddersfield last year, and that didn't make *them* anywhere near the best team either).

I just hope that complacency does not set in now, as IMO, we have just played the toughest game of the play-offs.

I agree, sensational match.

However, having been written off by everyone in RL (in particular Wigan fans ) months ago, being underdogs on Saturday, plus key players on the sidelines and having bagged some silverware already, we can go to Old Trafford and relax. The pressure is 100% on Wigan's shoulders.
