And you wonder what it's in it for the Board to carry on. They owe the RFL cash, players cash, the crowds will suffer, and so they will lose more money by carrying on. My guess is that they'll tell the players that they can swivel for their money and close down. What do they gain by carrying on? They always said that it was only ever about making money for Wrexham FC. They won't now.

The irony in this, of course, is that if they were removed from the league, we'd potentially finish bottom.

I suspect the RFL will look to assist with paying the players wages as Crusaders being unable to complete the season would make todays performance look even worse.

If they refuse to play for remainder of season, then I suspect all their results will be expunged from the records and the teams who have beat them (especially those who have done it twice) will be worse off points wise.

If they haven't been getting paid they may be free agents and able to sign for other clubs from now (although not play until next season)

Free agents are free agents. What you can't do is poach players mid-season. The main problem will be quota issues, as the spaces might not be available for the players that are worth having. Or even immigration issues.

Think it will go ahead as players will be playing for contracts at other clubs. Sends out the wrong message if they refuse to play, rightly or wrongly.

Will the club exist? I just can't see why they would want to carry on. The owners bought a super league club that always expected to be that way. What investment opportunities are there? Two seasons and an unsustainable super league club. Will hardly make them want a drop in revenue so that they can build towards something unsustainable.
