While the good Dr at Salford could be accused of many things i think his decision to call his new horse Steve Prescot should be applauded.


I'm sure many of you saw it on Boots and all where invited Steve's family down to see the horse and it is apparently running it this weekend.

It should be applauded - in the same way that all the rugby fans and players who have supported Steve Prescot's charitable endeavours should be applauded.

I don't applaud it and thinks it's in bad taste tbh.

Depends if it's with the consent of his family and is used to push the charity he worked for - if not it's a touch crass I agree.

I think it's pretty disgusting tbh. Using Steve Prescott's name to better the Doctor's reputation should not be applauded.

As I understand it, any winnings will go to the SP foundation, which is fine.

I'm not big on jerking off over the wealthy making large charitable donations; it's all relative anyway and as the Gary Barlow case demonstrated, all is often not as it seems - lotta good work for charity, friend of the royals, received an honour - all whilst robbing HMRC.

Statistics show that the less well off give a higher % of their income to charity than the well off - we just do it in a quiet, dignified way, and not as a PR exercise.

You see I'm with Gary Barlow on that one.
The rules were set. He followed them. Just like the rest of the world.
