| Let me truthful and say I have been a Chester out in recent times, but I watched that interview after the Huddersfield game and actually felt sorry for him. We actually have 30 ish full time players many of whom have had a long career in rugby league. Some of whom Chris Chester saw as senior players and thought leaders.
Well what you have to ask yourself are where have these so called leaders been for the past couple of months ? Have they really stopped playing because they don’t like his management style ? Or because they had t take a pay cut ? Well tough that’s the reality of this pandemic for most non public service sector workers.
Yes I don’t agree with some of the signings and team selections - however ultimately it’s not Chester out their missing tackles and giving penalties away. We talk about motivation and coaching but actually we have yet to put a team out that didn’t have 13 full time professionals in the side. Do guys that have provably been playing rugby for twenty years or more to be told how to tackle, operate a sliding defence ? Really ?
Tbh most people in that team shouldn’t need coaching in defence once they know the position they are playing.
I actually think shame on you !
Both the fans the club and the management team deserve a damn sight more than this

| Agree on parts but at the same time, I think people should stop judging as individuals and more as a collective. Me and Vastman included.

What a absolute load of rubbish, feel sorry for him I've heard it all. He picks his backroom staff, he puts the team on the field, he picks the team and he is responsible for these performances. He signed these players who he accuses of jumping out of the way. HES THE BOSS.

| ultimately Chester takes the can but i agree hes not receiving any kind of back up from the players.
if you look at the squad they have been collectively poor.
the problems also that changes to positions does not help and some of the signings totally unnecessary and they are all of Chesters actions.
Its about time that all the players took responsibility and i mean ALL
Players may well feel they should be playing in different positions but they need to buckle under and get a performance to build on

Nah Mopsey your wrong on this, there are players out there hiding and that is not Chesters fault that is totally down to them. Sorry but you can’t absolve players of any responsibility that’s just not on. It’s a team game and the whole team has to play, that’s coaches and players and some players are not doing anything like their share.
CC may or may not be the best coach Ed could have but he doesn’t deserve to be betrayed by players, many of whom he threw a lifeline to,
I bet when they were sat there negotiating they weren’t offering the performances they are now offering. They are simply not honouring their contracts and the deceit cannot be blamed on the coach, no way. Certain players are clearly not following his game plans. It doesn’t matter how good are bad certain players think they are the truth is they would work far better if they actually did there job.

There are players out there hiding and that is not Chesters fault? Who`s fault is it then as there are a number of them and it is Chesters team? Who`s job is it to motivate the players and make sure they are ready for the game?
I get that you have to put responsibility on the individual players for there own performances but when it is half the team questions need to be asked.
Even before the recent slum we looked absolutely clueless in attack, whatever side we put out, even 10m out we have no idea. Defensive structure is lacking, that is quite obvious, every team has weak links - The difference is the coaching staff recognise these weaknesses and compensate for them, you watch next time a forward tries to isolate Theo Fages or Jonny Lomax and see what happens 9 times out of 10.

| I disagree here. Only one player isn't resposinble for the failure of the rest, especially when they also have issues. It seems to me you've found a victim to blame...

Whilst u respect your point of view vasty the week before against hull your comments were on the line of an improved performance with the effort there. Also judging by everyone's views on the stats the effort was there. Ultimately coaching can be a lonely place but you are responsible for putting the team out there. To me the team is a totally disorganized shambles from minute one, i dont believe they are chucking the towel in, we look demoralised as soon as our opponents score.

| I can remember we had many fans who didn't like Kears style of play and wanted him gone, fans also wanted Webster gone same fans wanted Agar gone and now it's Chester's turn . Could it be it's not always the coach who is at fault take a look at the wonderful Tony Smith's team last week their defence was worse than ours. Many of us who have played the game know that ultimately on the pitch it's the players who call the shots and miss the tackles and don't stick to the game plan or adopt a different plan when things go wrong injuries etc. So as the thread says players need to take a look at themselves and not expect the coach to take the blame for everything.

It’s there fault, I’d have thought that was fecking obvious.
Tell me another job where someone can refuse to do their job and the person above gets sacked? You can’t because for some reason you’re choosing to defy the laws of fair play.
These are not children these are grown men so why are you pandering to them. It’s not Chesters job to make the act like responsible human beings that is up to them. Get a grip this isn’t the school playground.
