Was shocked on Sunday night when we all had a wander round town to see how much it had changed!!! was mega mega shocked to see LA,s had gone completely !!

Waterfront is still there or at least the night club still is, under some other name though !!

proper shocked though, I remember Hull had clubs everywhere that were cracking over the years
Scamps, Hofenbrau , Bier Keller, R&Js so many and now it seems all gone , whats caused this in Hull or has the economic issue hammered Hull nightlife that badly....

and wtf is that bar all about opposite the courts, called something twobrothers or something stoopid... jesus it was the inquisition to get in and proper pants when in there so the old town took al the cash im afraid!!

Night clubs are a dying breed simply because regular pubs stay open well into the early hours now.

Hull used to have one of the best nights out in the North , pubs everywhere, club queues round the block and it seemed that all that was left was the old town which hasnt changed at all.....
we wrapped it in and drove out to the Wildfowler and had a lock in at Manor club... suffered monday !!

totally agree the nightlife in hull is rubbish remember shire horse st peppers etc great night out then on to r&js after brilliant night out really really miss r&js i loved that place every fri sat was the best night club ever!!!

im out on sat old town it is but even that isnt up to much since most of the good pubs on marina have gone

I know this is going to sound cheesy and I apologise for it in advance but if there are no clubs how do the younger ones meet partners and do the old boy meets girl stuff in Hull any more if there are no dark dancefloors to hide the obvious flaws & facial issues any more???
I bet 99% of Hull over 30 years old met at R&Js , Bali Hi or Las..

R&Js was a good old fashioned club with good tunes , decent DJs , doormen and barstaff , cattlemarket dancefloor and trendy side in Juliets .. not expensive and a good night all round ...was even better when it was Baileys

I agree with you though mate, it's certainly not how it used to be. Lived and died in R&Js, LAs, and even Tower, used to have great fun in there trying to win dog of the night! We always used to let a mate of ours win it although he was never gunna get more than that anyway
