He comes across as someone who doesn't mess about, talking about getting the squad extremely fit and hungry is what's needed, sounds like the players are in for a hell of a pre season

talk is cheap as they say but its a good first interview imo.

Very impressive first interview. Loving his talk on fitness, hunger and enjoyment. Think it's probably fair to say that the club is missing all three at the moment. Very impressed on his talk regarding culture too. Sounds the ultimate professional.

This appointment has got me excited. Now let’s hope we can get some signings, that he has a hand in, into the club. Like others have said, we need a big push in the quality of the s&c and physio staff and I hope he appoints some quality assistants too.

Massive tick in the box for Myler on this one. On paper, after missing out on Rowley, Cartwright looks to be pretty much the best we could have done.
