After the dust has settled after another implosion!

As i was leaving the east stand yesterday there was an orrible drunk little man in a s..t yellow shirt having a go at Mickey Paea, firstly i was hoping MP would jump over the fence and bite the dwarfs nose off but MP did the right thing and let it lie. I have read some comments on here and the HDM site giving Mickey a rough time, i for one think he has had a very good first season and at times he has carried us forward on his own, he is in the top 10 in metres gained in super league, yes he makes mistakes and gives pens away but hasnt everone

Mickey Paea ran past me after the game towards Soccer Sensations, random eh?

I don't remember people giving Mickey Paea any hassle on here, he's had a very good first season IMO, ran hard, tackled hard, scored a couple of tries too. The only thing lacking from his game is off loads (but he's not on his own there)

He certainly wasn't the worst forward yesterday in fact he frequently drove the ball in very well, taking three and sometimes four defenders to stop him, the main culprit yesterday imo i'm afraid to say was Mika.
How many times this season has he tried to make an impossible pass or offload in his own 20 or 30 metre area resulting in lost possesion,? Phil Lowe was telling us after the game that Mika was distraught in the changing rooms which shows he at least realised his mistake but he needs to learn to stop making them so often.

TBH our first few games this season we were offloading - Clinton/Paea/Mika etc.
A couple of mistakes and we went back to our old regimented safe rugby. This had to have been a coach led change.

Mickey Paea has had a good season really. Ever present(?) and the type of prop we have lacked in previous seasons. We could do to use him better at times (the odd dummy runner) and all that. There's often been little or no doubt when Paea's receiving and he usually has a strong 3 man reception awaiting.

If memory serves it was a nice ball from Paea to Salter for his first try yesterday too.

micky paea made 2 mistakes that led to tries but on the other hand gave us the go forward to get in front in the first half

That mickey cost us the game if mika hadn't thrown that ball away in the last minute we'd be talking about a draw now

Think both paea and mika are decent players. Run very hard and really do get you on the front foot. The thing with Polynesians is they love to keep the ball alive it's just how they play, when it comes off it looks incredibly skilful but when it doesn't it can really cost you. It's just about curbing their enthusiasm a little bit.

what im saying is on the one hand you could say his mistakes cost us the game but on the other hand we would have never been in it if it hadnt been for him and i think hes been our best forward this year

I think thats a fair comment frankie by sounds of RH interview he was pretty gutted in the changing room afterwards

I wish all the forwards ran with as much aggression as Micky.

Its not very often that it takes less than 3 defenders to put him down.

Definitely a better impact player coming off the bench too!!
