Its our first hit out so I would imagine all of the fit players in the 30 man squad will get a game. Travis Burns is deffo not playing and I don't think Graham Horne or Greg Eden will either.
Will be a funny game I think. Hull have had 2 matches already and will probably play as close as they can to their first choice 17 and limit their interchanges whilst we will be chopping and changing every 5 minutes. Could be entertaining, could be a farce!

Not really, its all been in the press!

Reckon it'll be a tough game, if you ignore the first 76 minutes Hull played really well against Bradford.

Seriously though, I can't see this being much more than a run out for us and a disjointed interchange game. Struggle to see the point really, rather had a run out against a championship side and the final one against hudds.

The Huddersfield game will be our main warm up match in terms of treating it as a proper match with limited interchanges etc. The Hull game is an opportunity to give everybody a run out. You can do as much prep work as you want but there is no substitute for playing matches to get match sharpness. The young kids will get the opportunity to play infront of a massive crowd and we will walk away with a big cheque.

Think we have learnt that using the Hull game as your main preseason run out normally costs you in the long run in terms of injuries.

I see your point but the problem with the Hudds friendly is that we go back there very soon afterwards for our very first away league game.

Will either team want to show their hand?

Also Hudds start their league campaign a week early and play their opener against Wigan only 6 days after the friendly with us. Will they even risk any first team players against us I suspect they may not.

For these reasons I think the Hudds friendly may be a damp squib and our only serious hit out will be against Hull.

What's up with Eden?

I believe the side will include a large number of fringe players

big squad out against Hull with plenty of interchanges, no cohesion but hopefully no injuries either.

according to Look North the derby friendly is at Craven park and the new stand will be open and ready for the game lol.
